These are unprecedented times we find ourselves in.
My hope is that all of you are taking care of yourselves, families, and neighbors during this time of social distancing.
Resources For Independent Living (RIL) remains open to serve the community.
We are providing services 100% virtually until further notice to comply with the Governor’s shelter in place order.
All eight of our core services: Information and Referral, Peer Support, Advocacy, Housing Search Assistance, Caregiver Referral, Transition (Institutional, Diversion, and Youth), Assistive Technology, and Independent Living Skills Training are still available at no cost.
Our staff are available to serve people with disabilities in Sacramento and Yolo Counties by phone, email and Zoom.
To speak with a staff member, please call (916) 446-3074 or email email@example.com.
RIL serves some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
For many of our clients, the COVID-19 crisis compounds the issues they were already facing such as food insecurity, rising rents, and lack of access to the services and supports needed to achieve maximum independence in the community.
RIL sees this crisis as an opportunity to continue to innovate and build our capacity to serve our clients, as we have done for over 40 years.
If you would like to support the disability community during this crisis, please consider making a donation to our Housing Assistance Fund.
You can give by clicking the Donate button on our website, through Facebook, or by mailing a check to our office.
We look forward to working with you.
