RIL Services & Advocacy Personal Care Assistance
RIL has a Caregiver/PCA registry to help match consumers to providers. It's similar to the IHSS registry but managed by people with disabilities. Our hope is to have enough talent added to the registry so that both private and IHSS recipients can have access to qualified PCAs/caregivers.
If you're interested in applying to the registry please fill out a basic application. If we find you are qualified then we can schedule an in-person or virtual interview.

Receiving In-Home Care
Personal Care Assistants (PCA) provide help with an array of daily activities. Here are some of the areas that a PAC can assist in:
- Bathing, Toileting, Dressing
- Dispensing & Managing Medications
- Bed Transfers (Total & Assisting)
- Feeding & Cooking
- Help with Exercise & Mobility
- House Cleaning & Laundry
- Care for Pets
- Transportation for Appointments
- Shopping & Pick-Ups
- Companionship & Emotional Support
RIL can assist consumers with finding and hiring a private-pay personal assistant or homecare worker, and offers training & resources in managing an assistant/homecare worker. RIL also offers quarterly classes for people interested in becoming a homecare worker or personal assistant privately or through IHSS.
