RIL Services & Advocacy Youth Empowerment Program


At Resources for Independent Living (RIL), our Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) empowers youth with disabilities (ages 14-26) to achieve independence and success in their personal and professional lives. Through a variety of services, YEP helps young people build essential life skills and navigate key transitions, including employment, housing, education, and social connections.

Resume building, job search strategies, and interview preparation.

Housing & Home Transition

Support in navigating housing searches and understanding tenants' rights.

Education & College Access

Guidance on college applications, financial aid, and academic success.

Social Skills & Relationships

Money Management & Budgeting

Lessons in financial independence and budgeting.

Cooking & Grocery Basics

Basic cooking skills and healthy meal planning.

Creative Arts

Art and music sessions for youth connection.

Housekeeping & Daily Living

Training in daily tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organization.

Transportation Assistance

Support in navigating public transportation options.
